Lilah is ready for summer (and the fun that goes with it)

Yes that is a baby bikini! As the weather gets warmer the outfits get cuter.

It seems that Spring is finally here and Lilah is enjoying it to the utmost. This weekend we spent as much time outside as possible.

On Sunday my mom, Jason, Lilah and I went up to Fredrick Maryland to watch Darryl beat his personal Marathon record - under four hours! It was an amazingly beautiful day outside and Lilah loved cheering on the runners and giving them smiles as they pass by. We then spent the rest of the afternoon working in the garden until Lilah's Uncle Steven (Jason's brother) came over for a cookout and Lilah got to show off some of her new toys to him

We spend Saturday morning purchasing a new recliner and love seat for our living room. And yes, for those of you who have already asked, Hunter will still be allowed on the new furniture but it will be covered with a sheet. The afternoon was also spent gardening so as you can tell, the garden is coming along well and is in good shape.

This week is looking to be beautiful outside as well, so look for Lilah in the grass, Lilah with flowers, Lilah hanging out in the garden pics to come soon.

Happy 7 months Lilah!

Seven months have flown by! And so has the past 10 days which is why I haven't updated a posting :) so forgive me and I will try to do some catching up now.

When last I updated Lilah had enjoyed her first night of Passover at Darryl and Beth's house. The next afternoon we had our first ever play date with Ilana (Beth's niece). As you can see if the photos to the left, the girls got along quite well. Although Lilah did spend most of the time trying to pull Ilana's socks off.

For the second night of Passover Tara and I hosted at her house. This time Lilah stayed awake through the seder and passed out during the meal - maybe it was the three glasses of wine (oh wait that was just me!).

Later that week we were visited by Jarrod, Kelly and Baby Fraham (to be born in July) who are on a house search for their move back in June. Lilah performed all of her fun tricks including one that required a serious bath afterwards ;)

Then this past weekend my Dad and Valerie were in town visiting my Uncle Bennett and of course Lilah! She has had some serious visitors, which is good because any day now she is suppose to enter the phase where she only wants to be with Jason and I - so visitors come now before we get there!

In addition, although it does not relate to Lilah - can you believe it, this past weekend I also ran a 5K. I have been training for the past two months or so and am happy to say I completed it and ran the whole thing. Beth, Darryl and Tara also ran as well as a good portion of my office since some of the proceeds go to support plantabillion.org, a Nature Conservancy project.

This weekend my mom is in town, we have Darryl's 13th marathon and dinner with Eliz mom. Photos of month 7 on the bear and our weekend adventure to come next week!

Happy Passover Lilah!

Last night Lilah celebrated her first Passover with a Seder at Beth and Darryl's house (additional photos to come next post). To report, she slept through the four questions, the ten plagues and woke up just in time for dinner. (which was kind of a bummer as we had finger puppets for those readings!).

With spring finally in full force, Lilah is getting to enjoy large amounts of time outside, - whether on a walk with Mamy (her nanny) or gardening in the backyard with Jason and I. She loves watching the birds fly around the yard from her Exersaucer.

She is also getting really close to crawling....forwards that is. She is a darn good crawler backwards which everyone tells me is the way it is suppose to be, but I just find funny. If you want to watch her try to crawl check out this video:

Off to cook for tonights Seder! Happy Passover and Spring to all.

Lilah's on the go again!

First off - thank you to Beth for ALL of these photos! We haven't even started to download any of the ones we have taken recently so it's a good thing she is a planner or this would be a boring to look at blog entry.

As you can figure out from my decrease in posts lately, things were more crazy than usual for a while, but calmness (in Boig form) is back. After our New Orleans trip Lilah continued her adventure of new adventures although there were much more close to home.

The family photo here is at the very top of the new Newseum in Washington DC. With some early admit tickets we were able to get in last Saturday an enjoy the rooftop deck on one of the most beautiful days we have had this spring so far.

In case you are wondering, or even if you aren't, Jason and Lilah are wearing matching outfits - really they are. They are both wearing Trogdor shirts! (if you have a quizzical look on your face right now Google it).

The week before that Lilah cheering on Darryl at almost the exact same spot for his 12th marathon at the National Marathon where he cut his best time by a half an hour. Go Darryl go. She loved all the excitement going on and is getting really good at giggling at runners as they go by.

In continuing her amazing physical feats Lilah is now sitting up as you can see from these photos. She is also crawling...well ok backwards but it still counts!

This was my first work trip overnight away from Lilah and although I am happy to report she and her dad had a fantastic time, I am also happy to report I am back :). We are looking forward to staying put for a few weekends and then off to see Lilah's Great Grandma and Great Uncle Bob (whose 90th Bday party we will be attending) in late May.

More photos and updating to come soon. Good Friday to all!

Is there anything she can't do?

As I mentioned a few posts ago, the past few weeks have been amazing in terms of watching the growth in Lilah. She had really started to share her amazing personality with us as well as increasing her physically abilities and accuracy.

The photo to the left is from just a few hours ago - Lilah's first time in a high chair. Jason and I had a good laugh at how small she looks considering she looks HUGE in all of the infant seats and mats that we had for her when she was born.

This one is from yesterday. Lilah is getting very close to holding her own bottle, so the nanny and I have been encouraging her by giving her some time to play with it when she isn't super hungry. I entitled this one "You've got to start them multitasking early.

The photo of her reaching for the iron fence is from New Orleans (more on that to come another day). We went on a two hour tour of the garden district and she was just amazed by everything and loved to touch and feel the different textures around her.

Lilah is also continuing on her quest of new foods. She loves to try to feed herself which we let her do after she has had a few bites for us. At her six month appointment tomorrow we will learn more about her growth and progress - both of which I expect to be great.

And lastly, well, I just like this picture :). It's also from New Orleans and really shows what we have been enjoying the past few weeks as far as her smiles and interaction.

A fun time to be had by all!

Lilah's Photos Are Moving!

One of the outcomes of the conference that I have been at this week, is that we are slowly starting to move all of our Lilah photos that are on Snapfish, Picassa, Kodak Gallery and a bunch of other places all to centralize on Flickr. We can only upload 100MB per month and with many many more than that it will take us several months to get everything uploaded, but for now we have everything from 2007 up at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/theboigs/.
In case you are wondering - why the move? It is an easy way to short, organize, tag and share photos of Lilah (and other Boig like things) in an easy to use free place where folks can download the originals if they want, and comment if they want.
I will make sure to keep everyone updated when new photos are uploaded! Are we sure we can't get 27 hours into one day!
